Skippy

December 2, 1982 - January 2,1999
To Skippy my best buddy I can only hope someday we'll meet again
You were always there for me when I was happy, sad or lonley you would
be right beside me.
Skippy there are so many things I'll miss about you
like greeting me at the door when I came home, barking at me on those
nights I couldn't make your dinner fast enough, playing in the leaves
and snow, sleeping so close to me I couldn't make a move, listening to
your little snoring, seeing that pretty face and those pretty eyes light
up when I would say "where's your ball" seeing how excited you would get
when your buddy Chester barked at the front door so he could go in the
backyard with you to have bones, how about "let's go for a ride".
There
are also things I want to forget like the day the doctor told me your
kidneys were failing and the look in your eyes everytime we had to see
the doctor for your shots. It broke my heart but the shots did help you
for awhile but in the end they stopped working their magic and I had to
say good-bye to you. Those pretty little eyes lost their sparkle and I
knew it was time to say good-bye. You are my little CHAMP I will always
love you.
