Mitzi

11/4/82-11/4/98

In memory of my beloved Lhasa Apso "Mitzi". She has been gone a week now as I write this but she began leaving me 2 years ago as we noticed her hearing and sight starting to weaken. She was a feisty little dog who barked whenever she heard strange noises or when people came to visit. We called her the landlady.

Her favorite things were running and fetching a tennis ball which she could hold in her mouth. When I tossed the ball she would be ready in a stance like a track runner waiting for the ball to leave my hand. She and I especially enjoyed our walks together in parks and in the neighborhood at night.

I cant express on a keyboard how much she meant to me and how I would have given years off of my own life to save her. But 16 years is what we had together and later when I think of her I hope it wont hurt like it does now. I pray that she knew how much I love her and something of her being survives and we will be together again.
