Mandy
September 1982 - May 1998

Mandy has just joined us at DogStar. Her picture will be up soon. She is dearly missed by Karen.

A few words:

Mandy has just recently gained her angel wings. It was a very sad day for me. She was my companion and friend for 16 years. The love she gave to me is so hard to live without. I find it hard to look at the spot on the floor next to my bed where she slept. It is so empty. She was a great dog. She knew just how I felt whether I was happy or sad.

She showed no jealousy when our family grew with the addition of three kids. She loved me just the same and was happy to be lying at my feet. It was very difficult to face the fact that her time has come and it was up to me to put her out of her pain. It was as if she knew and was ready because she came and licked my face and did not whine or cry.

I found a statute of a little dog with angel wings at a flea market that looks just like Mandy and now she sits on my shelf. I know she is up there looking down at me and knows how much I still love her and miss her.
