Holly

A star for my beloved little girl, Holly, who passed in April 2002.

She was a spunky, beautiful girl with a red nose and cute round belly. I adopted her from an animal shelter the day that she was to be put to sleep. Although she had numerous medical problems, she was always playful and lived life to the fullest.

At 6 months of age, she was diagnosed with hip dysplasia in both of her little hips. She was a small dog, just 20 pounds and quite young to be diagnosed with this condition. We scheduled her for corrective surgery and she came through the operation without complications. However, she had a bad reaction to the pain medication and went into cardiac arrest. She never regained consciousness and she died after two days of seizures. It was heart-breaking to lose her, but she will always remain in my heart as the spunky, beautiful girl that she was and will forever be.

I love you, Holly, and your sister Shelby misses you very much.
