Tina

1980-1994

We got Tina when I was 2 years old...I grew up with her as my best friend. She was a mix (of what was never determined), and had been found by a friend of my father's and then given to us. She was the sweetest dog, loved just being with us. She also loved car rides, which came in handy when as a family we moved from Virginia to Florida, and then back to Virginia 2 years later. As Tina got older she started developing some health problems. She had arthritis in her spine, a troublesome heart and was losing her vision, but she never let that stop her from coming to welcome us home at the end of the day.

One day during the summer of 1994 I let her outside, and later found her in our pool. The vet determined that she had a heart attack, and had fallen in. It was the most devestating day of my life, but I try to not think about that, and just remember how much I loved her and how wonderful of a pet she was.

It makes me feel better to know that she is in a happier place now, and is no longer in pain. I just hope she knows how much she was loved by us, and how greatly she is missed.
