Lufkin will be in heaven.
Why isn't he here?

I remember the day when I first saw him,
Vibrant and playful as a happy puppy should be,
With wide eyes that always greeted me,
With an accompanying smile,

But suddenly those eyes narrowed,
Until they were gone,
His mouth unable to open,
To give his cheerful bark,
His bark turned into the whimper,
Of when he was young yesteryear,
And from this earth he passed on,
Leaving a hole in my heart,

Where before there was none,

How we miss him!
