Rainer

Rainer 5/98-3/4/02

Well, we got you, Rainer, 1/18/00 from the Humane Society when you were almost 2 years old. You were such a charmer! I said to Beth, "what about this guy?" You gave me the hound dog eyes and you and I bonded instantly. You already knew 'sit', 'stay', 'come', 'down' and were already housebroken. In fact, after we brought you home, Beth and I asked each other how we would know when you had to go out, then you pawed the door and we laughed!

You were my first dog and best pal, ever! Beth had dogs while growing up, I had cats. Anyway, you were the best! You learned 'shake', 'high-five', 'high-ten', 'roll over and bang' very quickly. You were very smart, affectionate and loved to be with people. Everyone said you were such a handsome dog and you knew it too. You took the best pictures. I hope you never forget the fun times we had together; roller-blading, walks, playing ball, stick, frisbee, tug, laying in the shade, camping, going to PetSmart, car rides, ear rubs, belly scratches, snuggling and cuddling.

I miss you so much Rainer. I am so sorry, please forgive me. You were and still are so loved. I love you so much Rainer. I miss you tremendously. I know we gave you the best 2.5 years of your 4 years. Life has been very hard for me since you've been gone. The house and yard are so quiet without you. I always think about you and the fun we had together. Please keep watching over and protecting us. I know you are waiting for us at Rainbow Bridge and I know we will be together again.

I love and miss you Rainer.

Love,
Ron (daddy)
Beth (mommy)
and baby Jayne
