Brisco

Brisco was an attentive, energetic and loving friend. He passed away a little too early in life, at only about 6 years old on Tuesday, February 20, 2002. He is dearly missed by The Carls' Family.

I met him in July of 2000, two months after I started to date his Best Friend, Sean.

Immediately - he wanted to get to know me and hang out... wondering who this new friend was that was taking so much of his Best Friends time. At the end of that day - we became friends too... as we sat on the grass together... his head in my lap. I knew from that point forward how truly Special Brisco was.

His Mom and Dad, as well as his Best Friend, treated him with nothing but love and kindness... and he knew it! Sometimes, you could see the contentment on his face. Occasionally Sean would pick on him in a playful-brotherly way. I think Brisco secretly loved it. He wasn't just a pet - he was definitely one of the family... one of "The Boys".

He thought himself to be a lap dog, even though he was Airedale, and loved to take naps on your chest (mostly Sean or Dad). Sometimes he'd sleep so deep - you'd hear him snore. The sight was a sure fired way to make anyone laugh!

He loved to go hunting with his Best Friend, go for rides in the car, play catch in the backyard. I'm sure there was so much more he loved to do - but only his Parents and Best Friend know him best. I'm hoping they'll add to this tribute... to share their love of such a great dog.

Brisco now has wings, and watches over them every minute... his love emanating forever.

He will be missed.
