Plato was a yellow Labrador mix I adopted from an animal shelter in Texas. I raised from a puppy. She was compassionate, loving and loyal. She was like owning Lassie. It was a privilege to have been the companion to this wonderful dog.

Almost 14 years ago you entered my life. You saved my life and I loved you with all of my heart. You were so special to me and you always will be. I know there will never be another one like you. I knew years ago that you were a once in a life time blessing. You were so brilliant and so loyal. I was all that mattered to you and you were all that mattered to me. I have never been able to love anyone or anything as complete as I loved you. I will never be able to love another person or animal as much as I loved you.

The day you died you broke my heart. It was the hardest decision I have ever had to make. I did not want you to suffer anymore. I know the only reason you survived as long as you did was for me. I will never recover from your loss. I always said you were a gift from God. I believed you were sent down from heaven to take care of me. I am lost without you. I pray that someday when it is my time to go - you and I will be together again.
