Red Lady Sasha

My loyal Doberman Pincher Red Lady Sasha, she was the best companion their ever was...

I can not find any words that describe the way Sasha touched our lives and what she meant to us. We came to know Sasha when she was 3 months old just a pup, a beautiful puppy, she was smart, loyal and a great friend. We had her for 11 years until the good Lord called her home to the heavens I would like to believe she calls the Dogstar home now, and will wait for us to join her.

She would smile and even did an Elvis impersonation! You know Elvis's sneer, well Sasha could do that, what I called her Elvis! Everyone who knew her loved her and thought she was a great dog. Most Doberman's are thought to be bad, or vicious dogs, but that's what I love about the Doberman, Their reputations, most people who think of a Doberman think attack dog, but that's only because they want them that way and they train them that way, but for Sasha she was a lap dog!

She was an indoor dog she went out when we were home and stayed in the house if we were away, she slept in our bedroom, on her own dog bed, and was a great protector, she never bite anyone( the need never arose) she was wonderful with all kids, if they were too rough she would cry out, instead of snap or bite the children, once we were out at a car show, and several small children came up and asked if they could pet the dog, I said sure, one child probably wasn't more than two about eye to eye with Sasha, when they approached Sasha sat down so the kids could pet her, then the parents asked what kind of dog she was and I said Doberman and they said she was a great dog, they were really impressed, with they was she behave with all those little kids trying to get a opportunity to pet her, ( I think she loved the attention!)and I think that's what Dobermans are all about, they are only mean because people make them that way, and I love their reputations, because no one would even attempt to get out of the car if they saw Sasha sitting on the front porch, but those who knew her loved her, the mail man liked her and the UPS man wanted to take her home!

The meter reader man never had any trouble, he could come in to the yard read the meter and leave and Sasha would never bark or growl, all she needed to be was Doberman and she was every bit a Doberman, a sweet, loyal loving Doberman.

We lost Sasha in the wee morning hours of August 7th, 2001 to complication of old age and cancer. This is one way of honoring her and her life and her spirit, I am also looking for a Bronze Statue to place in our yard, in Honor of Red Lady Sasha March 12, 1990 - August 7th, 2001
