Wheezer
Sparkle of Our Life
On this day, February 13, 2001, JD and Anna Mitchell said goodbye to a
beloved family member. BJ, affectionately called WHEEZER passed away
quietly in the early hours of this morning. After a sudden and shocking
discovery of Wheezer's inability to move, or paralysis, the couple fearfully
carried her to the Animals ER in Tyler, Texas. There she was treated by Dr.
Carlson, a kind man and soon to be a guardian angel for little Wheezer.
Wheezer was strong and brave and fought for her life but her little body had
given out. Dr. Carlson diagnosed her with a C3-C5 spinal lesion, rendering
her paralyzed from the shoulders down.
Knowing the intense pain their beloved family member was enduring, JD and
Anna tearfully and after much prayer agreed that if God didn't take her by
morning then they would send their sweet pet to meet Him. God heard their
prayer and took their Wheezer's spirit to be with him.
Wheezer was a unique character down to her bark. Her happiness was visible
from the motion of her tail and instead of kisses, she greeted with nibbles.
She was able to beg for a fry for hours on end and when time to go to bed,
she'd grab her favorite toy and beat you to bed....eager to always get there
first. She was full of happiness and love. She lighted to hear her own
name. Energetic and bouncy...the true sparkle of our family.
Wheezer is loved and survived by her parents, JD and Anna Mitchell. Her
brother, Bernard Mitchell. Her cousin Kathryn Tuschoff. She is also
survived and ever remembered by her grandparents, Garry and Emalie Tuschoff.
Her aunt Lynnlie Tuschoff, and her grandparents Jerry and Pat Mitchell.
