Sadie

1990-2001 -1/3/01

10 years old when she left before even she wanted. She was part german shepard, part yellow lab and the rest was Character. Sadly and greatly missed by Bonnie, Katelyn, Kristyn, Kyle and her buddy Sam.

I found Sadie along with her pal Sam at a pound. Sadie was 8 weeks old when we got her and Sam was 10 months at the time. Sadie was a very high spirited dog who seemed to love just having fun and playing that often got her into trouble and she did not seem to know why. It was typical of Sadie to dig a hole right in the middle of the garden you had just mulched and look at you with her sweet face as if to ask "Is there a problem?"

Our house is very empty without her getting her nose into everthing. Sam her pal of 10 years lies in her spot now just to remember her. Sadie died in my arms under the Christmas Tree 1/3/01.

Sadie had only showed signs of illness 2 weeks previous from what at first seemed a respiratory infection. When she did not improve within a week, an ultasound showed the fatal fact that she had hemangiosarcoma. A fast acting virulent cancer. She had tumors in her heart,spleen,and liver. Even the day befored she died she still managed to bark at the UPS truck. Her last act before death was to give her mom (Bonnie) a wag of tail and the sweet look in her eyes.

She will forever lie in the garden in a sunny spot, where she always was anyway and now will never have to leave her sunny spot..
