Leroy & Rags

Leroy:
Dear friend, this is very hard for me as you have only been gone a short
time, but I need to tell you how much you have meant to us. You came to us
as an abandoned puppy, and gave back to us more love than we could have hoped
for. There's so many memories we have of you. Running on the beach, howling
at the sirens (us with you), the ole Frisbee (you loved so much), and your
favorite time of year, Christmas. The way you loved to tear open all the
presents, if given the chance, and we gave a few chances. I guess this is
one reason I'm having so much trouble with this, it is Christmas time, and
the presents are warped, but where are you?
I realize it was time, you were
having more and more arthritis pain, your sight and hearing were going. I
held and talked to you until it was over. Rags, your Sheltie playmate, is
finally eating and is returning to herself. She misses you too and doesn't
understand why you have left us.
Take care, old friend, and run with joints
not hurting and eyes now seeing. We will always love you.
Mom and Dad.

June 25, 2001
Seeing you gone, this morning, was quite a shock. I guess it was time to
join Leroy, I know he is glad to see you. Tell him hi for us. The years of
companionship and love that you have given us will never be erased from our
minds. You were the greatest friend we could have every had, you will be
very much missed.
Chico doesn't quite now what's going on but he is young
and will be fine. You and Leroy go on and run and play, rag on him like you
use to do. Remember that we will always love you both.
Love, Mom and Dad
