Scampie

SCAMPIE was the first dog I was ever blessed to share my life with. She was a breeding dog (not mine), and at the age of 3 -1/2 she was considered too old to breed any longer. I was in the right place at the right time and I took her home. She was a delight to be around and we fell in love at first sight. How Lucky I was!!!

At the age of seven and vet approved, I bred her one last time as my mother was retiring and wanted to have a puppy. She loved Scampie and longed for one of her pups. So along came Tiffany (Mum's dog), Shadow (my very special prince) and three other puppies who all went to great homes. She lived to be the ripe old age of 18 years, and in her declining years she was a diabetic - I had to give her a needle every day for about four years. She was arthritic but we fixed that with cod liver oil and was happy go lucky until she crossed the bridge.
