Batty Bea
Our six-year-old black and tan miniature
wirehaired dachshund died on my daughter's birthday, October 23,
1998, after a week of struggling to survive a snakebite.
Her name was Batty Bea. We loved her very much, and are having
difficulty coping with our loss. She was the liveliest of our
"pack" of four, and was always kind and loving. Her sister had
seizures, and Batty would always call us to come take care of her
before the seizures were evident to us. She kept us laughing with
her antics, and she was always the most obedient of our pets. We
miss her terribly, and struggle to understand why she was taken so
soon.
